Here is our new model for online classes- combining them with General Coach & Connect at the end of the month: only one class per month, with recorded recaps of the info presented available on my main website for members. In the past I have had classes more frequently, with low-quality recordings of the zoom sessions. My plan with spaced out classes is we can keep them informal, they will not be recorded, and I will make a higher quality recording of the same info that class attendees will have access to on my website.
Our first experiment with this is our Top-Down sweater class, coordinating with our in-shop class. 4 sessions over 4 months to help you process and understand the construction of many modern sweater patterns. We have a short list of top-down sweaters we have enjoyed in the shop for you to consider, though any top-down sweater is welcome in the class. Class topics will be:
A. Overview, gauge swatching, and starting-knitting the Yoke
B. Sleeve Separation, Body Knitting, and more!
C. Getting started on your sleeves, Understanding sleeve construction
D. Finishing: Blocking, weaving in ends, all your questions.
This will happen on the last Sunday of every month, 2-4 pm US Eastern time, for the next 4 months: A. August 30, B. September 27, C. October 25 (this session will probably be later in the day, stay tuned), and D. November 29
Some of these sessions will overlap with the current Make-a-long or General Coach & Connect- we will make space for all content and questions!
