Have you wanted to ask Rebecca for help on a project, advice on anything knit or crochet, but don't live close enough to the shop? We are starting a once-a-month general Coach & Connect on Zoom for just this purpose! Unlike Sit n Stitch, which is free and is more non-instructional community time, this is specifically designed to not only connect fiber crafters to each other, but offer advice and assistance in real time from Rebecca. We do not have the capacity to have structured virtual lessons with all that is going on at the shop, but here is your chance to learn and expand your capabilities on anything you might want to tackle.
This will happen on the last Sunday of every month, 2-4 pm US Eastern time. There are two ways to gain access: be a Patreon subscriber of a tier $25 or more a month (see below) and automatically get the invite, or buy into the one you want to attend: purchasing here is a ONE TIME invitation to the month in which you purchase it. If you buy it after the last Sunday of the month, it will be applied to the following month.
Sometimes this will overlap with the current Make-a-long or online classes- we will make space for all content and questions!
Here is our new model for online classes- combining them with General Coach & Connect at the end of the month: only one class per month, with recorded recaps of the info presented available on my main website for members. In the past I have had classes more frequently, with low-quality recordings of the zoom sessions. My plan with spaced out classes is we can keep them informal, they will not be recorded, and I will make a higher quality recording of the same info that class attendees will have access to on my website.
Our first experiment with this is our Top-Down sweater class, coordinating with our in-shop class. 4 sessions over 4 months to help you process and understand the construction of many modern sweater patterns. We have a short list of top-down sweaters we have enjoyed in the shop for you to consider, though any top-down sweater is welcome in the class. Class topics will be:
A. Overview, gauge swatching, and starting-knitting the Yoke
B. Sleeve Separation, Body Knitting, and more!
C. Getting started on your sleeves, Understanding sleeve construction
D. Finishing: Blocking, weaving in ends, all your questions.
This will happen on the last Sunday of every month, 2-4 pm US Eastern time, for the next 4 months: A. August 30, B. September 27, C. October 25 (this session will probably be later in the day, stay tuned), and D. November 22 (one week earlier due to Thanksgiving)
Some of these sessions will overlap with the current Make-a-long or General Coach & Connect- we will make space for all content and questions!
Work Virtually over Zoom with Rebecca on anything related to knit or crochet! Get assistance on a project or all of your knit/crochet questions answered.
Currently (2026) the one-on-one rate for assistance is $50/hour- we will work together to schedule a time that works for both of us, Wednesdays are optimal for Rebecca as they are a work-from-home day, though we can explore other options as well.
You can purchase 2 sessions if you'd like to work for 2 hours straight- both in shop and online Rebecca caps lesson/class time at 2 hours as everyone's brains tend to be puddles on the floor at that point.
