Knit your first sweater! We will all work together on a basic crew neck sweater to learn the fundamentals of a pieced sweater: back, front, and sleeves will be made separately and sewn together at the end. We will meet every two weeks to discuss and learn the basics of sweaters, including: increasing and decreasing, measurements, blocking, seaming, picking up stitches, and more. You can pick any sweater in the Comfort Fit repertoire. The class fee *does not* include supplies, though does cover a minimum of 6 class meetings. The current schedule for classes are Nov 3 & 17, December 1 & 15, and January 5 & 19, all 2 pm- 4 pm. If you cannot make a meeting we can meet one-on-one to discuss what you missed. If meetings need to be rescheduled for whatever reason, updates to the schedule will be sent via email. 

Supplies (not included with price of class, please buy needed supplies at Sun Dragon):

• Approximately 800-1900 yds of worsted weight yarn, depending on the size you choose to make, and the pattern you pick from Custom Fit- I recommend the Tramontane for a basic crew neck pullover.

• Size 8 US needles (straight or circular for body/sleeve knitting, 16" circular for neck)

• We may need stitch markers, any way you have of keeping track of row count, tapestry needle for seaming, etc.
